Super Eagles Head coach, Gernot Rohr has heaped praises on striker, Paul Onuachu, following Nigeria’s 1-0 win over the Pharaohs of Egypt in an international friendly game on Tuesday.

Paul Onuachu, who was making his first start for the Super Eagles, netted the only goal of the match in the opening minute.

Rohr said the goal scored by the FC Midtjylland star was the fastest goal he has ever witnessed in his coaching career.

The German tactician, who said the 24-year-old did very well against Egypt, admitted that the striker still has to improve on his game.

Speaking on Onuachu’s performance against Egypt, Rohr was quoted by Allnigeriasoccer as telling reporters after the match: ”We scored a goal very early. I think this is the earliest goal I have seen as a coach and it’s coming from the kickoff. It was very nice from Paul Onuachu.

”We have other profiles for the striker position, we now have this tall guy [Paul Onuachu] from Denmark. He did very well but he has to improve still.”
